Discover the passion and people behind Vintage Books, where every volume tells a tale beyond its pages.
To preserve literary treasures of the past, connecting generations through the timeless magic of books, and creating a sanctuary for those who believe in the enduring power of the written word.
From a small corner shop to a beloved institution, our story unfolds like the pages of a well-crafted novel.
Vintage Books was founded by Jonathan and Eleanor Pierce, two literature professors with a passion for preserving rare books. They opened a small shop in downtown with just 200 carefully selected volumes.
After gaining recognition for our unique collection and expertise, we expanded to a larger location and began offering restoration services for damaged and aging books.
We established a network of international book hunters and collectors, allowing us to source rare editions from around the world for our growing clientele of collectors and institutions.
The second generation of the Pierce family took the helm, bringing fresh ideas while maintaining the core values and traditions that made Vintage Books special.
We moved to our current location, a beautifully restored Victorian building that provides the perfect atmosphere for our collection and allows us to host literary events and workshops.
Today, Vintage Books stands as a beacon for book lovers and collectors, continuing our mission to preserve literary treasures while adapting to the changing landscape of the book world.
